Personnel moves: appointments across plastics, fibre and e-scrap

Cascade Reclaim has appointed Yolanda Ferreira as chief operating officer, effective 17 August. Ferreira joins from a Pacific Northwest fibre packing group where she spent nine years, latterly as vice president of operations. At Cascade she will oversee three plastics processing sites and a planned wash-line expansion in Indiana. The role has been vacant since March.

Orrington Metals Recovery has promoted Devendra Anand to vice president of commercial from his current position as regional trading manager. Anand has been with the company for six years and previously traded nonferrous for a Gulf Coast exporter. He will take responsibility for the company’s trading book across both domestic and export placement, reporting to chief executive Marta Sowinski.

Linnet Recycling Group has hired Beatrix Alderton as director of e-scrap commercial development, a newly created position. Alderton spent eleven years in IT asset disposition, most recently leading enterprise accounts for a national ITAD provider. Linnet said the appointment supports its plan to build a dedicated e-scrap trading desk alongside its existing municipal collection business.

Havenport Terminals has named Sung-Ho Baek as general manager of its recovered materials terminal, succeeding Gerald Prentice, who retires at the end of September after nineteen years with the company. Baek joins from a container terminal operator where he managed bulk and breakbulk operations. Prentice will remain in an advisory capacity through the year-end transition.

Northbank Fibre Co. has added Hélène Duquesne to its board as a non-executive director. Duquesne is a former mill executive with a background in containerboard operations and recycled fibre procurement.
