Meridian moves recycled commodities rather than processing them. The brokerage arranges container bookings out of North American ports for nonferrous, paper and plastics cargoes, bulk vessel space for ferrous parcels, and inland rail and truck movements to port or mill.

The company’s documentation desk handles bills of lading, certificates of origin, pre-shipment inspection coordination and the notification paperwork required by importing jurisdictions for regulated waste categories — an area where errors strand cargo and where operators increasingly outsource.

Cargo surveying is offered alongside: loading supervision, container photography, moisture and radiation checks, and sealed weight verification for disputes with consignees.

Meridian works with processors from mid-size regional yards to multi-site operators, and holds agency relationships at ports on both US coasts, in Vancouver, Rotterdam, Istanbul and Port Klang. Rates are quoted per movement rather than under long retainer.
