Calibra Weighing Group

Calibra installs and maintains weighing equipment across recycling depots, transfer stations and metal yards. Its weighbridge range covers 12 to 24 metre surface and pit-mounted decks rated to 80 tonnes, supplied with unattended terminals, ANPR cameras and barrier control for sites running driver self-service.

In-plant weighing includes belt weighers for conveyor throughput logging, crane and grab scales for handler-mounted weighing, and forklift scales for bale movements. Data from all of these can be pushed into a customer’s existing yard management or ERP system through the company’s middleware.

The calibration business underpins the rest. Calibra holds accreditation to carry out verification and reverification of legal-for-trade installations and runs a scheduled service programme with test weights carried on its own vehicles. Engineers are based in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Dublin, giving next-day attendance across most of the UK and Ireland.
